What you are about to read is
where our culture is now in it’s understand
of the most basic aspects of fundamental consciousness
The perspective is from a well intentioned university professor
One of a class of “those” people with official credentials
to help us learn to think better
so that they can then easily
define for us
what to believe in
“Damn the Pharisees!
They are like a dog sleeping in the cattle manger:
the dog neither eats nor lets the cattle eat.”
Bad at math?
Worrying makes matters worse
Anxiety robs your brain of space it needs to compute complex problems
Reuters
SAN FRANCISCO – Worrying about how you’ll perform on a math test may actually contribute to a lower test score, U.S. researchers said on Saturday.
(defiantly point on!)
Math anxiety — feelings of dread and fear and avoiding math — can sap the brain’s limited amount of working capacity, a resource needed to compute difficult math problems, said Mark Ashcraft, a psychologist at the University of Nevada Las Vegas who studies the problem.
Math anxiety — feelings of dread and fear…
Ok mark lets get real….
yes this is the case but why is it happening?
What is the reason? the why?….
without the why you are without choice
without power…
And as you whistle in the dark,
you miss the opportunity to point the way
to the choice of transforming this ‘mind’ problem….
with presence into a mear situations of the immediate moment.
Ok before i go off on a long rant you have already heard many times
read the rest…..
“It turns out that math anxiety occupies a person’s working memory,” said Ashcraft, who spoke on a panel at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in San Francisco.
working memory……is not a helpful way to point to the state of presence moment awareness!
Ashcraft said while easy math tasks such as addition require only a small fraction of a person’s working memory, harder computations require much more.
Worrying about math takes up a large chunk of a person’s working memory stores as well, spelling disaster for the anxious student who is taking a high-stakes test.
Stress about how one does on tests like college entrance exams can make even good math students choke. “All of a sudden they start looking for the short cuts,” said University of Chicago researcher Sian Beilock.
Although test preparation classes can help students overcome this anxiety, they are limited to students whose families can afford them.
Ultimately, she said, “It may not be wise to rely completely on scores to predict who will succeed.”
While the causes of math anxiety are unknown,
Ashcraft said people who manage to overcome math anxiety have completely normal math proficiency.
What ??? The causes are unknown
by whom…..
The cause
If any person is feeling anxiety it means their attention and in fact their identity is not present here and now .. …as in this situation of “Worrying about math” the individual is feeling threatened by the negative outcome of the event …
The now lost ..to a world filled with time bound problems …as the present becomes reduced to merely a means to an end…
and we have all been down that road before
you remember don’t you? …..
where that leads
“While the causes of math anxiety are unknown”
Waiting is never the answer
and the answer will not come in time
I will tell you now ….and no belief is required
Anxiety is just one of hundreds of indicators of a systemic underlying condition
that threatens not just our individual mental health
or some math score on a test
but the lives of our brothers and sisters
our husbands and wives
our sons and daughters
and
All the life on this planet
The underlying problem in each individual ..that manifests disastrously collectively
Is the lack of attention to presence moment existence ..
Exchanged usually without even knowing it
for a temporal model of belief…
One of these is real
The other is not
The one that is the illusion is
The cause of human suffering …
everyone is born into
Yet is not something you can see taste or feel because
The walls of the prison of your mind are invisible
I can’t show IT to you
you can only find it for yourself
but i will give you a sign post that I use …
looking for a Symbol …
to point to the invisible cage
Cognitive Temporal Identity Syndrome
This is best way I can find to say it for the present.

i think to some people math is like a religion…
The same idea can probably be applied to any kind of performance anxiety. Fake it until you make it.
:sunny:
I forced myself to like math … :p
A rather perfect analogy~
Just let it go and listen to the winds passing through the leaves~
Blessings this day, my Friend Dosmangoes~:sunny:
math is easy compared to most things.
