” People have a hard time letting go of their suffering.

Out of a fear  of the unknown,  they prefer suffering that is familiar.”
    -Thich Nhat Hanh

I go through some “times” like tonight

     unconsciousness….

      I find my self worried…

    About the state of things

When you step back and look at our culture

and see things that we are doing

see them as they are right now,

      and by that i mean,

There is an overwhelming amount of insane behaviors that fall under the category  of unconscious temporal justifications which are being disguised and sold and done under the illusion that they are necessities. These ’problems’  arise  from the past…  compelling us to do unconscious actions now with the promise that it will  insure a desirable future

Our eye for an eye culture lacks the fundamental basic ethic

    that being

You cannot do that which is wrong now in order to bring about something you desire in the future…no matter how nobel the objective.

The unconscious execution of a “murder” like Sadam is a good case in point.

These wrong doings, like the war, are being imposed on and by our culture and  are clear and present challenge to our fundamental freedom.

    Our freedom,

    Your and mine

Freedom is not found in the past

You will not find freedom by hoping for freedom in the future

Freedom does not come by waiting for it.

Words only point, like an icon, to the truth

and are not the truth itself

    in just such  a  way

Freedom as a word is not the truth

just so  the word war points to a truth

killing, the murder of our fellow man points with

even greater presence  to that same truth

     freedom is only lived

directly in the felt moment of immediate experience

In that eternal moment are you free to decide

Or you are not free at all

freedom is not…. a matter of belief

If the internal temporal model in your mind

    is your internal reference point

     ~the Matrix has you~

    Neo

You may be assured you have chosen the road

down which you will always believe

You must fight to be free.

Nothing can force you to give away your inherent state of present be~ing

and no one can take it from you

You alone are the ultimate authority

    of freedom in your life.

The choice as always is yours

    He said,

“The messengers and the prophets  will come to you

and give you what belongs to you.

You, in turn,  give them what you have,  and say to yourselves,

‘When will they come  and take what  belongs to them?”

  • That picture “re-entry.jpg” … is it some kind of fractal image? It’s intreaguing me… what does it represent?
RYC: indeed we see many tourists glued behind their (video) cameras missing the whole experience. Noting could capture the awsomeness of the crisp sea air the spray on the wind the sound of the waves and the magnificence of the wild orcas so close… fumbling with a camera would only have detracted from the experience when I’m sure a quick google would yield better pictures than I could ever create with my archaic fuji finepix :giggle:

  • :heartbeat:Freedom:heartbeat: It is my most vauable possession.:sunny:

  • the book i’m reading is about freedom and slaves.  and i was wondering today about how freedom is in the mind or outside of it actually.  said that wrong.  you said it much better here obviously
