I have not been writing or  visiting anyone lately,  as I have been spending every moment  possible with my mother  Barbara.  The general state of  her health has been slowly declining for the past year and presently she is struggling moment by moment to remain with us in this world.  We are doing all we can to help her be comfortable and keep up her spirits but she is suffering from continuous chest pain and  there is very little the team physicians can do at this point.  She has always loved life and despite her medical condition she is hanging on  and we all hope she might yet rally one more time and recover .    Our family and  friends are with her always   giving her love, support and as much comfort as we can.   

 

She is dearly loved by many and it is good 

that this love  surrounds her  with light  

 in this moment of life

Chromophores

Electrons, negatively charged particles, exist at different energy levels within an atom. The electrons at the highest levels are in the outer orbitals, which can be completely or partially filled with electrons. Radiant energy (photons) of light can enter a crystal and elevate an electron to a higher orbital, if it is a partially filled energy level, and be absorbed in the process (Hurlbut & Kammerling, 1991, p. 70). This selective absorption of wavelengths, and electron oscillation between orbital levels, can cause color and fluorescence.

The so-called transition metal elements, titanium, vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, and copper, all have the outer orbitals partially filled. These elements, when present as a major portion of the chemical formula or as impurities within a crystal, are the common coloring agents of minerals. Therefore, it is the chromophores or the electronic configuration of ions of transition elements present in the crystal’s structure that can produce color. One transition element can produce different colors when occupying different sites within the crystal structure.

Different oxidation states of elements can also influence absorption. Ferrous iron (Fe²⁺) creates green, but ferric iron (Fe³⁺), found in a similar crystal structural site, can produce the yellow  And  iron as (FeO₄)^4-  produces a purple color

These people surely have “good”  intensions

but good intensions aren’t enough

Instead

with our egoic intentions

and it will fade like dust

awaken from their  predominate state of  existence…

 This spring thunderstorm was intense and powerful 

It appeared so suddenly I barely had time to fix the camera to the tripod

find some sorta umbrella

and get outside to a suitable position    

 

It would have been less dramatic if the tornado sirens were not blazing

making such a penetrating horrible, howling, cyclic.. noise from hell …!

That it created in me

A sensational feeling of intense urgency

Nature is like a musical expression

an expression of a sort of intention…

a code of primary information

 written into  being

by the mannor in which

the way things play out

as emergencies occur in every moment?

In every moment?

 

 But that’s a funny way to put it 

because …”every moment”  is now 

This One eternal Moment…  

so if you say… “in every moment”

 That creates a duality

 

 To believe there are separate moments? 

for if there are separate moments ..

What thing separates one moment from another?

 

What occurance appears that signifies to us 

   The end of one moment and the beginning the next?

Does a bell sound? .. a light go off?…..

not really…..    

it is a choice

 a mental seperation …from the present moment

 It is the intentional manifestation of the power of our belief …in time

 

it is our own choice…..

of where we decide to direct our attention

That chooses to dwell in a model 

Who’s nature is inherently a temporal mental separation from reality

that creates the illusion of seperatness

and thats ok if you sincerely keep that knowing …. foremost in your attention

Otherwise if you think about it deeply and forget …soon enough

you begin to take life

all so very seriously

 

As all the while nature plays it’s song  

 

clouds are Cloud-ing, 

tress are Tree-ing,

storms are Storm-ing

And

I was searching for crystals at the arrowhead mine and by late afternoon I had already found a few nice  crystals ..but for a while they seemed to allude me ..the day was hot and in the stillness,  I was almost feeling despair as suddenly a cool breeze swirled into the area….in that moment when i felt the coolness replenish my body

an object tumbled down from the hill and came to rest at my feet

that object was this crystal

It is about the size of a serving tray

 

 

I have been cleaning the clay and iron  from it

off and on 

 for about a year !

 

This cluster has an extraordinary numbers of crystals with windows!
