Cherokee Wisdom
An old Cherokee is speaking to his grandson about Life.
“A Fight is always going on inside me,”
He said to the boy.
One is Dark
He is Anger, Envy, Sorrow, Regret, Greed,
Arrogance, Self-pity, Guilt, Resentment, inferiority,
Lies, False Pride, Superiority,
~ EGO ~
The other is
Light
He is Love , Joy, Peace, Serenity,
Humility, Kindness, Benevolence, Empathy, Generosity,
and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute
and then asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee replied simply,
“The one you Choose to feed. ”

It’s always freaky that every time I come by here I get something to help me with stuff I’m dealing with. Thanks!
getting hung up on ego just strengthens the ego’s reality.

just have to see past it like an optical illusion.

(sometimes i just can’t resist a good elbow nudge, mr wizard) :giggle:
I have loved that story for many years, as Native wisdom has long intrigued me. Only today have I ever pondered that possibly a wild, hungry wolf might fight with a whole different tenacity than a tamed, well-fed one. But tigers fight differently than wolves, and lions differently than tigers. I’ve read that a tiger will usually defeat a lion, but 5 lions will defeat 5 tigers. Lions work together – tigers do their own thing. What a difference it wouldmake if tigers were to unite.
Hungry like the wolf,
