Nothing happens by chance,
When a situation occurs
and you are fully alert
many oppertunities present themselves.
People might point out that you are lucky
Yet there is a subtle meaning behind every little thing.
In just such a way,
There is even meaning behind this writing,
Part for you, Part for me.

Once you have disidentified from your mind,
whether you are right or wrong
makes no difference at all,
to your sense of self.
So the forcefully compulsive and deeply unconscious
need to be right,
which is a form of violence,
will no longer be there.
You can state clearly and firmly how you feel
or what you think,
but there will be no aggressiveness or defensiveness about it.
Your sense of self is then derived
from a deeper place within yourself,
Your being … and not from the mind
Eckhart Tolle

You are not just a meaningless fragment in an alien universe,
briefly suspended between life and death,
allowed a few short-lived pleasures
followed by pain and ultimate annihilation.
Underneath your outer form,
you are connected with something so vast,
so immeasurable and sacred,
that it cannot be spoken of

—yet I am speaking of it now.
I am speaking of it now
not to give you something to believe in
but to show you how
you can know it for yourself.

i think we don’t know crap about life until a moment when it’s truely needed then it springs forth out of “?” and becomes so easy to state… then as quickly as that moment passes it is forgotten again. And the rest of “it” is missing until another moment like “?” comes along.
as you can see i can’t say it either….
:sunny: i would say you said it beautifuly

What an utterly beautiful entry this day~
Llamas notwithstanding~:)
Many Blessings, my Friend~:sunny:
Your llamarinch reminded me of one of my less favourite thoughts of Marcus Aurelius (and other stoics) – a little wisp of soul carrying a corpse. Although I’m slightly saddened by the transformation, I’m glad to see that we agree that life is much more than a brief drop in a pool of dispair.
I tend to like to live in my own head … and my own reality … and sometimes that makes for some interesting moments.
Whoah! Everything you typed after the Star-Bellied Llamasneech has come directly from my mouth from where I stand. It’s a bit mind-blowing…
You have a lot of company in your universe. :heartbeat::heartbeat: It is tremendously reasuring to know that. You have wisdom way beyond the average, llama man. :spinning::sunny:
