These are somethings I listened to today:

“Better to write for yourself and have no public,
than to write for the public and have no self.”
    (Cyril Connolly)

“I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from
the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet strange,

I am ungrateful to those teachers”.
    (
    Kahlil Gibran)

“The devil and a friend of his were walking down the street when,

some distance away,  they saw a man stoop down,

picksomething up, and put it in his pocket.

The friend said to the devil, “What did that man pick up?”

“A piece of the truth”  said the  devil.

“That is bad business for you, then,” said his friend.

“Oh not at all,” the devil replied, “I am going to let him organize it”.

  • Wow, thanks…..I am definately checking out the other sites you recommend…..

  • Tell the plants it’s for their own good. Always works on us.

  • Fantastic link to Tweek. Amazing blog. Not much is written of the reality of war, only of our idea of whether or not we should even be fighting it. About as close as it gets is Lindy.  So thanks so much for the link.

  • You ,Dosmangos, are quite the troller of the Xanga seas…thanks ,my son is in Iraq…need I say more…

  • Always interesting.  Thanks for the links also.  I look forward to the Iraq reads.  I loved the quote you posted.  Losing sight of oneself is not a good thing.  That top picture, I’ve seen that but only very small.  I know the feeling of rooted to the computer.

    Regards,

  • Hey…how are ya…..I’m looking forward to checking out the links……10x

Thanks for your compliments on my blog. I was looking around for “good stuff” yesterday and within seconds of landing on your site, I knew I needed to subscribe. :eprop: :eprop:

  • Thanks again for posting a link to my Xanga.. Perhaps we should create a new group, for those particularly interested in our many shared and important topics…?

  • Ooooops, I forgot the smileys :

    :goodjob: :p

  • I apologize when I take off yellowing leaves. When I really have to trim my houseplants, I’m unconsolable. I run around asking people if they want me to root the trimmings to start their own plants.

  • Interesting links… thanks :sunny:

EminemsRevenge pic looks exactly like Bob Marley in his younger years.  hmmm…  when did eminemsrevenge get black? first time I found his blog he had a pic of a big ole white guy up there.  :p interesting post anyway.  :goodjob:

  • i have learned gratitude from Kahlil Gibran’s ingratitude.  Thank you Gibran.
