“You need not look for God
either here or there.
To open the door and let God enter
…There is only one thing you must do:
open and enter.”
Meister Eckhart
A beautiful day in Texas
So a good opportunity to visit Josh
Who sells rock by the Ton
and is a fellow collector of minerals
He wanted to have a look
at the ThunderBay Amethyst
We packed a few minerals
in the car and headed across town
The leading edge of a cold front provided
the energy for fantastic cloud formations
Beautiful even if ….
driving across an industrial wasteland
Josh has a big place…
But i wasn’t expecting that he
had such a wonderful collection
Which balanced out
because he had never seen
Thunderbay Amethyst like mine either
He and his family were very nice …
His mom hung out with me
as i spent a few hours photographing his collection
They offered to take them out of the cases
to allow me to photograph them better
but i didn’t want to take that risk
so forgive the glare and poor angles
These humming birds are entirely made of crystal!
I would have bought them for
Wes but I may have to win the lottery first
This one is Prime Choice
You just can’t get calcite crystals like this any more
????
I need to study this a while before i could even guess how it formed
but it’s crystal alright
This has to be the largest Dino dung I have ever seen
This is curious
here is josh’s arrowhead collection
Shanti and I
took these pictures
just the night before
Great company made the trip even more wonderful
A sun dog…
and the sunset….
The contrast of beings
in flight

Schrödinger’s Cat
After this brief bit of fame, however, Schrödinger’s cat soon fell on hard times. The constant stress of never knowing from one moment to the next whether he was still alive or dead began to take its toll. One by one, his sources of funding dried up. Soon, he found that he was no longer being invited to give seminars, and his scientific colleagues and students expressed uncertainty as to whether he would show up at his lectures. Some people even debated as to whether he was even still alive. Gradually, Schrödinger’s cat began to drink, often drinking himself into a catatonic stupor.
The insidious effects of chronic alcohol abuse began to affect his work. This was especially evident in his last paper published shortly before his death in 1961, “Der Maus Eigenfunctionen im Unendlich-dimensional Hilbertraum”, in which he published the following cryptic equation for analyzing the momentum of electrically-charged particles:
p[[p[p[p = <~~fafafaf | 35eeeeeeeeee >
It has been speculated that if properly understood, this strange-looking equation may have profound implications for our understanding of the interactions of particles in an electromagnetic field. Unfortunately, the original manuscript was covered with a green-colored stain that resembled cat vomit.
His last work was in telecommunications. His invention of Cat-5 cable at Bell Laboratories laid the foundations for the Internet. In his last days he also spent more and more of his time toying with string theory.
In his later years, Schrödinger’s cat also received an unfortunate head injury that resulted in Yoda syndrome, named after the famous speech-impaired character Yodapappankin from the movie Star Wars.
Although a CAT-scan produced an ambiguous (and in fact uninterpretable) result, the accident had clearly affected his speech centers, and his book “Um Gegenwärtige Quantenmechanik: Gesprache, Gedanken, und Haarknäuel” contains sentences like “Larger for l=0 the polarization effect of vacuum on the higher orbital angular momenta is,” in which the word order is altered in a fashion characteristic of the well-known dyslexia-like disorder.
He frequently expressed despair about his ability to communicate with his students.
“Learn they will not, afraid I am,”
he would often say, shaking his head sadly and taking another swig of Black Cat Whisky.
“Bad it is too.”
Because of this speech impediment, many of his students were forced to drop his class on quantum mechanics. His earlier obsession with mice and excessive use of catnip also came to dominate his personality, and he was arrested several times for lurking around the Institut für Labortierkunde at the Biologischen Zentrallabor at the University of Zurich.
That was a fun story …from the internet
but the analogy of
Schrödinger’s Cat is a powerful one
Now, according to Schrodinger’s theory the above cat’s state is as of this very moment
a wave front of informational energy that has a quantum existence
preceding the onset of the dualistic cascadence of cause and effect
In a sense as in All things
When you are not looking at it
It is a wave..
when you look at it
its a particle…
In the analogy the cat is both exactly alive and dead
Before the moment of observation
( technically?, 100% dead and 100% alive at the same time — hence the paradox) …
Now lets play this game for real
but lets not play with the cats …
They have been thru enough
this package will do nicely as it just arrived
The maple leaves kinda
give it away…
It’s from way up North
but it not quite from Santa
I think i know
what’s in this box
The crystal in the Huge package on the top ..
IS big enough for a cat!
I will save that one for last
A Mystery Crystal..
Howard understands the things that excite me
in it’s original clay…
Sweet
just like it comes outa ground….
no one has touched it
nor has light ever played across it surface
Until now
WoW
![]()
I think I will leave
just a tiny bit of the clay on it
WoW this stuff is hot
gotta get my
cheep sun glasses
I don’t’ believe you will need any descriptions
to go with these pictures..
it looks like i turned up the blue in this picture
my fingers are blue
because this crystal is literally glowing
in this type of fluorescent light
…
The time span was six hours to .. ahh .. manifest?
All these
CANADA ROCKS!!!!!
Remember the old expression
Don’ t count your chickens before they hatch?
Well now…
Since its physically impossible to count
IN the future
Why do so many insistantly count
ON the future ?
the end
of war
must be peace
now
What we have in the photo below
folks is
an elemental manifestation
in plain sight…..
the people writing the article
just don’t have the model for it
YET
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/05/060530-duck-alien.html
May 30, 2006—As if bird flu fears weren’t enough to make ordinary waterfowl suddenly seem creepy, now there’s this: an x-ray of a duck with what looks like an alien hiding in its gut.
(its not hiding gez)
Workers at the International Bird Rescue Research Center (IBRRC) in Fairfield, California, took the x-ray May 21 while treating a mallard duck that had been found with a broken wing.
The scientists—not likely prone to feats of imaginative fancy—were surprised by what they saw: a head snarling at them from within the bird’s gizzard (see lower right of photo).
“We’re a 35-year-old organization, and we’ve seen a lot of things—bullets, fish hooks—but this is the first time anything like this has shown up,” IBRRC executive director Jay Holcomb told the San Francisco Chronicle.
The center’s experts say there’s no telling for sure what created the eerie image. Holcomb said he suspects it was caused by grains of food in the duck’s digestive system.
This explanation, rather than a bird-borne alien invasion, seemed more likely when the duck died from its injuries soon after the x-ray was taken. An autopsy revealed grain in the bird’s belly and little else.
But the duck didn’t die in vain: IBRRC has put its curious x-ray up for auction on eBay, with all proceeds benefiting the center’s bird-rehabilitation program.
“The poor duck died, but maybe this will help other animals,” Holcomb said. —Blake de Pastino
looks like i may have to take my Guard cat Linus
with me to Canada this summer for protection!
On June 4 a black bear wandered into a West Milford, New Jersey, back yard, was confronted by a 15-pound (7-kilogram) tabby cat … and fled up a neighbor’s tree. Hissing at the base of the tree, Jack the clawless cat kept the bear at bay for about 15 minutes, then ran him up another tree after an attempted escape.
The miracle is not to walk on water,
but to walk with love on earth –
as if your feet are kissing the ground.
We must remember that our presence alone is a miracle.
We must learn to say ‘Yes’ to the miracles of life.
-Thich Nhat Hanh

In your light I learn how to love.
In your beauty, how to make poems.
You dance inside my chest,
where no one sees you,
but sometimes I do,
and that sight becomes this poem of life.

But how did it come to be?
The Process of external objects coming together to form a larger object is known as
Accretion
The theory is that the solar system and all of the other solar bodies were formed by the force of gravity causing atoms to coalesce. When the mass was great enough the atoms of helium and hydrogen under the influence of gravity created the sun. The heavier elements were also drawn together by gravity and formed more dense smaller bodies called planets.
Eventually most of the larger bodies coalesced into the planetary structures, but there are still “rogue” objects in the solar system (meteors, asteroids, and comets) From time to time two of these objects collide, the larger adds the mass of the smaller.
As the earth grew in its early stages, it added mass from accretion. Eventually enough heavy elements were added and radioactive materials began to aid in the planet heating.
This internal heating provided the energy necessary to begin the migration of the internal elements and chemical compounds. The heavier elements, like iron and nickel sank to the center, and the lighter materials, silicon, potassium, sodium, and aluminium rose to the surface.
As the internal heating continued, gases (oxygen, water, nitrogen, and sulphur) were released from volcanoes and eventually created the atmosphere and the oceans. Oxygen combined with many of the lighter elements and formed SiO2 (silica) and other aluminium, and lighter-metal oxides. These were the building blocks of the crust.
Within the LITHOSPHERE the pressure and temperature produce rocks which are strong and rigid. Heat moves in this area via conduction. Within the AESTHENOSPHERE pressure and temperature produces weak rock structures that provide a base for convection. Hot mass can rise while cooler masses can sink. Inside the lower areas of the earth heat moves by convection. This is the process is called PLATE TECTONICS. It supplies the driving force for “continental drift”, “sea floor spreading” and the creation of “new rock”.

Accreted Terrain builds the continents we live on today
This next action picture portrays how crust was added to the north American plate
from 45 million years ago to Present
Layers of sedimentary rock were accreted onto the continent. Carried toward shore atop the subducting Juan de Fuca Plate, the layers of rock are pulled beneath previous layers and wedged against the continental margin. Pressure from incoming and subducting layers creates thrust faults that help to uplift the Olympic Mountains.
One could consider the accreted terrain like a train with many cars destined for destruction; each piling up beneath the previous on the track. For a more naturalistic analogy: think of pond scum accumulating along the shore during a light breeze.
As the topmost layer of the sea floor is scraped off and crumpledon to the North American Plate, the lower branch dives beneath Olympic creating heat and pressure that form the volcanoes of the Cascades.
Which being us to the point of all of this ..
How was this unique crystal from Thunderbay
created through billions of years of evolution?
This is a diagram of the original volcanic land mass of the North American continent
and shows how land was added to it’s mass
The crystal you see above and the ones you will see below
formed in the yellow zones being accreted on American protocontinent
Their approximate age ..perhaps 2.5 Billion years old

So lets have a look at the mine in Canada
where this most ancient of rock comes from
And more importantly… thanks to Howard

Mining this summer
~!YES!~
Its hard to tell but in the fore ground
this is a tremendous clay covered treasure of elestial Amethyst
about 257 lbs …value in dollars…. well in the Thousands …but actually priceless
here is a shot of one of the veins…
OK now lets look at The Thunder bay area
Amethyst veins in the Thunder Bay area occur in parallel to subparallel vein systems. Veins strike northeast and east, parallel to major Keweenawan faults. The best amethyst crystals occur in vugs and the largest vugs occur at the intersection between the northeast and east trending faults and fractures. There is a spatial relationship of amethyst deposits north of Thunder Bay to the 060o regional unconformity/vein system that stretches from Northern Light Lake in the southwest to Kabamichigama Lake in the northeast. This regional system also hosts silver, lead and zinc mineralization.
Because, in the Thunder Bay area, amethyst formation is restricted to near-surface conditions, the amethyst occurrences are located within 50 meters of the subhorizontal unconformity between the Archean and Proterozoic rocks shown on the map and cross-section below.
The unconformity has also acted as a mechanism for concentrating radioactive minerals essential in the formation of the purple color of amethyst.
Geology map and legend of the Thunder Bay area from Geology of Ontario map 2542. Amethyst is currently being produced in Area 1 centered on Pearl, Ontario. Amethyst occurrences have also been found in Area 2 northeast of Nipigon

OK enough geology for now
When you get The raw Amethyst all cleaned up
it looks like this
And the magic begins to emerge
this is a perfectly terminated single point

I need to learn how to photograph these better!
the deep purple just isn’t showing up!
Why is the age of these crystals significant?
because every band and etching within the crystal
is a record keeper of changes in earth history
just as tree rings reflect changes in climate

well its as if
you can feel it’s presence and be apart of it

for both their information and maps…
Well now that was Interesting..
Friday evening I checked the fridge for something to eat
and thats always a kind of mystery
having two teens in the house…
The fridge is mostly picked clean
but as they tend to go out often
sometimes you get lucky and there are juicy restaurant left overs
So wow I thought this time I hit the jackpot
A huge bowl of…humm ?
some kinda oriental chicken with veggies
Sweet…of course I smelled it first…and it seemed ok
So i rolled the stuff in some flower tortillas
added a massively brave amount of eye watering wasabi
and popped them in the microwave…
and scarfed them down with a beer
just a few minutes after devoring my spicy hot wasabi laden repast
Alicia comes home…
“Dad” she asks
“Where is that bowl of chicken that was in the fridge”
“Ahh..I ate it Alicia .. were you saving that?” I say
“YOU ate it….(her expression …serious)
Dad I brought that home from moms ..for the coons to eat
We had that way.. over a week ago.”
Krike…
the rumbling started about 10 minutes after that
I survived the experience …
In hind sight … perhaps
the wasabe was my biggest mistake
I don’t know if you have had the experience of tasting wasabi
It has a wonderful flavor …but its HOT…very very Hot
It would hold it own with the strongest of jalapeno peppers
And from this experiment
I have to conclude
It does maintain its capacity to burn
long after being ingested
~Written by my daughter Alicia~
Embracing the energy of divine creation

to a new understanding
and value of the vision … quality life
inspiring you to live and love
on this planet earth,
like a priceless jewel buried
in dark layers of soul and stone.
Ever present
the
Earth radiates her brilliant beauty
Into the eternal caverns echoes
reflections of space and time
Are you are aware
of who watches
over your only true home
Can you experience it as the place we exist
and play … That interface with reality
Of becoming … masters of the game
